Springtime in Aspen Snowmass
Happy Friday from Aspen Snowmass! It feels like springtime here, and we couldn’t be more excited for longer days, warmer temperatures, and more outdoor activities and events. There is more snow forecasted this weekend, but that can’t stop the spring fever. Read on for some exciting events going on this weekend and this upcoming week!
A long time Aspen local favorite returns to town this weekend. Partake in America’s Uphill, this Saturday March 7th at 5pm. This event attracts hundreds of racers each year. Whether you snowshoe, run, nordic ski, telemark, Radonne ski, or simply walk, you will enjoy this event. The course is 2.5 miles long and has over 3,000 vertical feet up Aspen Mountain. This Saturday is International Women’s Day. Aspen Skiing Company is of course celebrating with a parade, panel discussion, and an art auction. Meet at Chair 9 on Ajax at 1:15pm this Saturday for the ski parade, which starts from Silver Bell down Spar Gulch. The panel discussion with ski industry female leaders will immediately follow this year’s parade. Enjoy an art auction from local female photographers throughout the day. Next week, yet another Aspen local favorite comes to town. The Apres Ski Cocktail classic returns starting March 12th through the 15th. This four day event is an annual slopeside celebration that blends all things apres with craft spirits. Participants can expect tasting experiences, fabulous craft cocktails, mixologist seminars and brand ambassadors, snow parties, pop-up bars, demonstrations, fireside chats, special dinners, on-mountain events and so much more.
